Piu - blessed with a superb voice received training from her father Sri Kamal Banerjee and was inspired by one of the greatest ever vocalists of India the late Ustad Amir Khan. She has adopted his style and vocal technique of singing meditatively with a relaxed approach.
Piu is an acknowledged Radio Artist frequently heard on All India Radio.
She has performed at all the major classical music festivals in India and given many overseas concerts.
